A very nice installation in Manhattan, featuring Sony SCD-1, MIT Z-Center, MBL preamp and MBL monobloc amplifiers all in a custom Precision Rack with 42" x 24" Ultra shelves. Unloaded, the rack weighed about 350 pounds; after the MBL amps were put in... well, we're just glad there are steel beams in the building. To the right is one of the redoubtable "Accordion from Mars" MBL 101D speakers; these were placed on Svelte Speaker Sets with very beneficial results. This is a beautiful system which yielded incredible sound quality in spite of a limited and difficult listening space.
