Rick Hashimoto, RTI's master presser, and Steve inspect a new metal stamper before it's put into service. This stamper is a metallic impression of the original lacquer, which contains the analog information - in other words, grooves. In OTHER other words, this is a true analog of the originally cut master lacquer. Placed inside the giant press, it will mold an actual side of a record out of heated virgin vinyl.By the way, notice some of the titles mounted on the back wall. Recognize any of 'em? They've all been made right here at RTI.
